About the Designer

Meet Henrietta

Henrietta realised her vision of having her own design company when she formed Henrietta Holroyd Ltd in 2012 to cater for her growing portfolio of private clients. Since then the business has developed into a successful design studio recognised for its creative flair for interior design and decoration.

Having trained at the Inchbald School of Design, Henrietta worked as a senior designer at a leading interior design firm for 8 years before founding her eponymous design studio. However, Henrietta also credits her experience of living in different countries and her natural curiosity as being influential in her design inspiration and process:

“I’ve lived, worked and created homes in different countries so I’m comfortable and curious with new places and people. I find it easy to adapt, and this helps me with my work every day.”

The human spirit has also always been a personal fascination for Henrietta.

Before deciding to become an interior designer, she studied Psychotherapy and later completed a BSc in Sociology at the LSE. Both courses have given her valuable insight into human behaviour and useful skills in practicing diplomacy, understanding and empathy. Beneficial capacities to have when working with clients on something as personal as their home.

Her ability to listen to each client, interpret their vision and intuitively understand their needs, coupled with her unparalleled industry contacts, ensures she creates unique homes that are authentic reflections of their owners.

“When I’m designing for clients, I tailor my approach to reflect their personal style and wishes. Everything is given a story and meaning. This could be a new piece of art that will be unique to them or ensuring an inherited piece of furniture becomes a point of interest. I am not creating a specific look. I am creating homes for people, homes that are personal to them.”
